The Department of Human Resources in the Government of Sharjah has provided four electronic procedures to obtain a job opportunity for job seekers, according to the educational qualification. The services begin with registration, qualification and field training, and end with the nomination for job interviews.
The department stated that it is working on preparing national human cadres with a high level of performance and competitive capabilities, in a way that supports government development plans, and ensures continuity in the productivity of national cadres to match their counterparts in the advanced economic sectors.
The department explained, according to its data obtained by “Emirates Today” from its website, that job seekers should register their requests on the website to check the data and archive the required documents in accordance with the approved commitments and procedures, in addition to continuing to update their data to achieve the optimum benefit from the department’s services.
She added that job seekers should log on to the department’s website, choose the services of job seekers, register in the new searcher field, and fill out the electronic registration application.
She called for reading the instructions before electronic registration, and agreeing to the registration terms and requirements, and upon registration, the user name and password must be created and kept, and the requirements marked with an asterisk must be filled out.
Note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
It must also be sure to attach the required documents, as all documents that are uploaded must be clear, the file should be in PDF format, and the personal photo in JPG format, and the electronic registration application can be completed within a month from the date of the request.
The department added that it has provided a service of vocational guidance and rehabilitation, which is prepared and designed based on the needs of the labor market, and is implemented in accordance with the approved scientific and professional principles, with the aim of raising awareness of the needs and requirements of the labor market, and providing those enrolled in it with knowledge and professional experience that qualifies them to enter business communities with confidence. The department relies on qualifying programs in the development of national human resources looking for work, based on the requirements of the labor market and in accordance with the curricula and standards approved locally and globally to provide them with professional knowledge and experience, raise their efficiency and develop their skills to become the first choice in the labor market to fill the available jobs.
She stated that the available qualifying programs include specialized and behavioral programs, self-development programs, professional diplomas, and foundational qualification programs such as English language programs and ICDL, noting that they implement their programs remotely for a healthy training and rehabilitation environment, and to ensure an effective approach to maintaining the safety of job seekers, and ensuring the continuity of the process Qualification, which is one of the priorities of the department’s plans to develop and qualify the category of job seekers.
She pointed out that the period of time for field training is up to one month, which can be extended for three months, after which the trainee receives a field training certificate issued by the Human Resources Department, and a reward of 1,000 dirhams for high school holders and 1,500 dirhams for university degree holders.
She explained that after completing the field training, in the final stage, nominations are made for appropriate jobs in the public and private sectors that are compatible with qualifications and capabilities, by following the practical methods and professional rules in place and required by the entity requesting jobs, and she added that job interviews are coordinated through the nomination of researchers. About the work of those registered in the database of the Human Resources Department, in accordance with the requirements and conditions for filling jobs in terms of educational qualifications, financial degrees and job specializations, and ensuring that they comply with the conditions and specifications required for the entity requesting jobs.
She added that she informs the candidates of the dates of virtual job interviews by text messages, where the interviews are conducted through the interview committee approved by the government agency requesting the job, and in the presence of a representative from the Human Resources Department, and the department provides virtual job interviews through the webex program, to facilitate the process of conducting job interviews on Government agencies and job seekers, and the government entity requesting jobs selects those who meet the terms of appointment.
On-the-job training
It indicated that after completing the qualification programs, job seekers are prepared and empowered for the labor market, by providing them with field training opportunities in the public and private sectors and practicing actual work, with the aim of providing them with practical experience and skills for the labor market. The department also provides field training service, which is « On-the-job training”, which is considered one of the forms of training that is relied upon to enable job seekers to obtain practical experiences by accompanying employees to training bodies in the actual workplace, during daily working hours, and performing their daily job tasks, as the implementation of the program is monitored Field training, in cooperation with all government and private agencies and their branches in various cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
