According to the data, the average price of a hotel room amounted to 373 dirhams, a growth of 19%.
Domestic tourism
Domestic tourism accounts for the largest proportion of guests, with a share of 29%, as Abu Dhabi hotels received 1.18 million guests from the local market.
With regard to the ten main international tourist markets that export tourists to Abu Dhabi, India leads the international markets in the number of tourists coming to Abu Dhabi, with 480,000 guests, a growth of 31%, followed by the British market, with 179,000 guests, a growth of 71%, while the Egyptian market ranks third, with 169,000 guests, a growth. 11%, then the Philippine market with 160 thousand guests, then the Saudi market with 145 thousand guests with a growth of 184%, followed by the American market with a growth of 47%, then the Pakistani market with a growth of 17%, followed by the Jordanian market with a growth of 6%, then the Omani market with a growth of 160% and then the Russian market with a growth of 264% .
According to the regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi city hotels received 3.57 million guests last year, with a growth of 27% and an average occupancy rate of 72%, at a time when Al Ain city received 365,000 guests, with a growth of 8% and an average occupancy rate of 61%, while Al Dhafra received 136,000 guests, with a growth of 16% and recorded Average occupancy of 50%.
December data
Last December, Abu Dhabi hotels received 437 thousand guests, a growth of 21% compared to the same month of 2021, while hotels recorded an average occupancy in December of 73%, at a time when total revenues amounted to 605 million dirhams.
During the month of December, the Indian market topped the international markets exporting tourists to Abu Dhabi, followed by the British market, then the Egyptian market, followed by the Philippine market, then the American market, followed by the Russian market, and then the Saudi one.
