137 Ukrainians died in the first 24 hours of the attacks, President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed on Friday. “Sadly, we have already lost 137 of our heroes, our citizens, ten of them military, and 316 were injured.”

He warned that the general population is also a target of the Russian attack. “The enemy does not attack only military installations, as he claims, but civilians as well. They kill people and convert peaceful cities into military objectives. This is vile and will never be forgiven,” he stressed.

The president of Ukraine also reinforced the importance of the curfew, and denied the information that he had left the capital, Kiev, even though he was, according to him, “the number one target”: “They want to destroy Ukraine politically by destroying the head of state,” he said.
