Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country’s forces shot down a Russian Su-25 fighter over the Donetsk region, today, Saturday.
He added, in his video evening speech, “It is important to be very focused these days… We extend special praise to the fighters of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade for shooting down another Russian Su-25 plane today in the Donetsk region.”
Zelensky did not provide further details about the incident.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Friday that Moscow had taken control of 547 square kilometers of territory.
