President of Ukraine Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of the country (APU) will not surrender the city of Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). On Friday, February 3, reports Telegram– channel of the publication “Strana”.
“We will fight as long as we can,” the Ukrainian leader said at a press conference following the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv.
Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that Kyiv was paying a very high price for holding Artemivsk, and refused to give the exact number of losses.
On February 3, Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to draw up their reserves near Artemovsk. He stressed that in Kyiv there are disputes about whether to withdraw troops from Artemivsk or not. Kimakovsky clarified that at the same time, there is no withdrawal of Ukrainian soldiers from the city at the present time.
