Zakharova called on the ICC prosecutor to answer the question about the British bombing of Iraq
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the words of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Karim Khan. She asked when the ICC would respond to London’s bombing of Iraq. The corresponding entry appeared in Telegram-Zakharova channel.
The ICC prosecutor, who requested an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, responded to criticism from London and Washington by saying that the British did not bomb the capital of Northern Ireland as a reaction to the terrorist attacks.
According to Zakharova, Khan “only has to answer the question of why the British started bombing Iraq and when the ICC will punish them for this.”
The ICC prosecutor’s request to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, as well as the country’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant, became known on May 20. Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the decision “a collapse for the world’s judicial system.”
