Unfortunately, today it has been revealed that Zayn Nadellason of Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, passed away on February 28, 2022 at the age of 26. Zain was born with cerebral palsy and throughout his life he faced various challenges due to the lack of mobility and autonomy.
Due to the situation in which his son was, Satya had a special emphasis on inclusion within his solutions and teams during the last years. Among the tasks that the CEO has carried out in this regard, is the donation made to Children’s Hospitalwhere Zain received much of his treatment, and where the businessman joined forces with the medical entity to found the Zine Nadella Chair, specializing in pediatric neuroscience, as part of the Seattle Children’s Center for Integrative Brain Research.
Here’s what Jeff Spring, CEO of Children’s Hospital, had to say about Zain Nadella’s passing:
“Zain will be remembered for his eclectic style in music, his bright smile and the immense joy he brought to his family and all who loved him.”
During the tenure of Satya has given a greater emphasis to technologies focused on offering solutions for people with social or motor weakness. It was here that the idea for the Xbox Adaptive Controller, which is designed for gamers with limited mobility, was born.
May he rest in peace, Zain Nadella.
