The preliminary results of the quick count showed a clear advantage for Joaquín “Huacho” Díaz Mena, candidate of the PVEM, PT and Morena, whom Barrera publicly congratulated and wished him the greatest success, for the good of Yucatán.

“With total responsibility I tell you that the preliminary results of the gubernatorial election do not favor us,” he stated.

He added that he remains committed to strengthening the institutions and civic traditions of Yucatán, in addition to celebrating that other federal and local candidates in which his party did achieve victory.
