YouTube Premium may soon be forced to watch high-resolution 4k videos. This is evidence that recently emerged on Reddit, a social network that works as an aggregator of news and posts. And this will be possible through a subscription to YouTube Premium itself, with a monthly value of US$ 11.99 for videos with greater clarity.
The news comes from Reddit user Thalesmokealarmsshortly after the platform’s unpopular judgment of up to ten inconspicuous ads before the videos. He said he set his service to the North American version after posting screenshots of the video resolution options he was watching.

It could be a shot in the water for YouTube Premium, as starting to block features and services can cause backlash. A total of 2.6 billion people use YouTube, but only 50 million pay for Premium.
Google, the owner of YouTube, however, has so far not confirmed this measure. It may even be that the measure is a test of several Google features that, if they do not give the desired result, can go back, as it has done in the past in other initiatives that were not well received by users.
