Number of infections rises to 4,603,825; In total, 9 states and the Federal District declared an emergency situation
Brazil reached the total of 4,603,825 probable cases dengue fever this Friday (May 10, 2024). There were 29,338 new infections registered in the last 24 hours according to the Arbovirus Monitoring Panelfrom the Ministry of Health.

- Minas Gerais – it is the unit of the Federation with the highest number of probable cases (1,339,508);
- Federal District – has the highest incidence coefficient, that is, number of cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (8,761.5);
- São Paulo – has the highest number of deaths (660).
In all, 2,451 people died by dengue in 2024. It’s a record. The highest number so far was in 2023, when, throughout the year, 1,179 people died from the disease. This year, the threshold was exceeded in April.
