After the injury suffered by the Colombian defender yerry minaplayer of Everton of England, English media confirmed that he could undergo surgery, a reason that could keep him away from the courts for the rest of the season.
The injury was confirmed this weekend by Frank Lampardtechnical director of the Everton club, at a press conference prior to the match against Leeds.
“Unfortunately, Mina will be out for 8-10 weeks. It is disappointing for all of us because he is a great leader in the group and a great player. A great loss,” said the coach.
Mina had scored a goal in Lampard’s debut, in the match against Brentford, after coming on in the 14th minute of the match, following Ben Godfrey’s injury.

According to statements by expert doctor Ben Dinnery to ‘Football Insider’, it is not ruled out that Mina may have to undergo surgery.
“Given that timeline, we’re looking at a high grade two. It’s probably the rectus femoris, the big muscle on the front of that thigh. We are talking about significant damage to the fiber. Ideally, they will treat you conservatively. But surgery cannot be ruled out at this time. He will meet with a specialist to rule it out, but there are no guarantees,” he said on the portal.

For the moment, the center-back would be a confirmed drop for the schedule of the qualifiers whose last dates will be played at the end of March. Everton are expected to confirm if Yerry Mina misses the rest of the season or if he can return to the team.
