Experts and analysts confirmed to Al-Ittihad that the comprehensive national dialogue is the best solution to cross Yemen the current stage towards stability and lead to a political, economic and social agreement on which a new Yemen will be built that does not know war and terrorism, provided that the national dialogue does not include the terrorist Houthi militia after it evaded the implementation of all commitments. And consecutive commitments and inclusion on the lists of “terrorist organizations” that operate against the Yemeni people.
Yemeni politician Hamza al-Ruwaini considered that launching a comprehensive national dialogue is an urgent necessity in Yemen, a step that has been followed in many Arab countries during the recent period. There are several factors on which this dialogue must be built, including the exclusion of the Houthi militia.
Al-Ruwaini added: “It cannot be a group listed on the lists of terrorism and then be a component of the national dialogue, unless it re-integrates into the Yemeni national forces and pledges to implement all political and humanitarian requirements, the first of which is lifting the siege on the city of Taiz and operating air traffic from Sanaa airport under the supervision of the government. legitimacy.”
He pointed out that the “national dialogue” is a comprehensive socio-political and economic one, aimed at returning to a clear path of construction and planning in the state, which no longer bears any new inconveniences after more than 8 years of war and military and political strife in the shadow of a terrorist group that wants to control life’s capabilities for its own benefit and not to serve. Yemeni people.
In turn, Yemeni human rights defender Essam Al-Shaeri said that “the Houthi militia is a terrorist group by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2624, and its leaders are subject to sanctions and penalties in accordance with Security Council resolutions, in addition to the sanctions of the European Union.”
He added: “The League of Arab States and Arab foreign ministers also classified it as a terrorist group, and condemned its cross-border attacks and threat to international navigation. The Houthi militias violate all international resolutions, and from this point of view, there is a great consensus from the Yemeni components and parties that it is a terrorist group such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda.” .
Al-Shaeri stressed that any concession in favor of sectarian militias is a support for terrorism and an encouragement for them to continue their crimes that amount to war crimes against humanity.
