A woman driving an SUV crashes into a wall of a class of 2-year-olds in Liverpool: luckily no one was injured
The accident occurred this morning around 8:30 am Liverpool it shook the local community and highlighted the vulnerability of our schools and our children. Only thanks to a miracle, no children were injured after an SUV smashed through the wall of an elementary school and broke into the nursery class.
The images of the collapsed wall and bricks scattered across the floor of Beacon Church of England Primary School are very powerful and make us reflect on the importance of ensuring safety in school buildings. It is essential that they are carried out structural evaluations to prevent similar events from happening again in the future.
School staff were quick to react and managed to evacuate all pupils safely. Thanks also go to the police, fire brigade and emergency services who immediately created a safety barrier for their rapid response and for ensuring that no other children were involved in the accident in Heyworth Street, in Liverpool. All the children were sent home for the rest of the day.

The classroom that suffered the most damage was the one attended by two-year-old children and was fortunately empty at the time of the impact. The woman driving the Mercedes SUV was rescued and did not suffer any injuries, just a few slight injury. The institute was emptied to allow for the necessary investigations and to assess the damage. We hope that the situation can be resolved as soon as possible and that the school can reopen safely for its students.
