And “SPA” stated: “Today, I arrived at Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, the first flight of pilgrims for this year 1443 AH, coming from the Republic of Indonesia, with 358 pilgrims on board.”
As soon as the pilgrims arrived at the airport entrance, they were greeted with bouquets of flowers, various dishes of dates, in addition to bottles of Zamzam water.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Age for Visit Affairs, Muhammad Al-Bijawi, told Al-Ikhbariya channel: “Today we received the first pioneers of this year’s pilgrims from Indonesia, and the flights will continue from Malaysia and India.”
And he continued, “Today, we are happy to receive the guests of Rahman from outside the Kingdom, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic,” adding, “We are happy and fully prepared.”
The Saudi authorities announced earlier this year that they had decided to raise the number of pilgrims this year to one million pilgrims from inside and outside the Kingdom.
Hajj will be allowed this season for the age group less than 65 years, with the requirement to complete immunization with basic doses of Covid-19 vaccines approved by the Ministry of Health.
The ministry added that those coming for Hajj from outside Saudi Arabia are required to submit a negative test result for the Corona virus for a sample taken within 72 hours before the date of departure to the Kingdom.
