The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) reported that starting this Monday, May 13, it will be possible to shorten school hours in entities where temperatures exceed 45 °C. Including Queretaro.

However, the National Meteorological Service reported that maximum temperatures in Querétaro will remain between 35°C to 40°C during these days. Therefore, The measure will not apply this week, unless the state educational authorities consider it necessary.

In places like Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Durango, it was decided to advance the departure time until 11:00 a.m. in the morning shift, on days of extreme heat. In the case of the afternoon shift, preschool children and those in first to third grade will have distance learning support instead of face-to-face classes.

It should be noted that it will be the decision of the educational authorities of each state to modify the school schedule to avoid exposing minors during the hottest hours.

Climate Querétaro

The weather forecast from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), belonging to Conagua, indicates that maximum temperatures will be between 35 to 40 from Monday and tentatively until Thursday of this week.

This Monday, Wednesday and Thursday there will be winds with maximum gusts between 40 to 60 km/h and possible dust devils, while on Tuesday and Wednesday there will be isolated rains.
