In addition to the record of the condition that exceeded 155 ppb of ozone, according to the meteorological forecasts of the position of the anticyclonic system, for which it is expected to maintain its condition, causing atmospheric stability, little or little cloudiness that will favor the formation of ozone.
In this way, Phase I of the atmospheric environmental contingency due to ozone in the Valley of Mexico and its preventive measures are maintained to reduce the population’s exposure to polluted air and the risk of affecting their health, as well as to reduce the emission of pollutants. .
What to do when there is an environmental contingency?
- Avoid doing civic, cultural and recreational activities, as well as avoiding exercising outdoors between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Suspend any outdoor activity organized by public or private institutions, between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- It is recommended to postpone outdoor events, sporting, cultural or massive shows, scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- It is recommended not to smoke, especially in enclosed spaces.

Other measures in the face of environmental contingencies
- Facilitate and continue working remotely and make purchases and procedures online to reduce travel.
- Avoid the use of air fresheners, aerosols, paints, waterproofing products or products that contain solvents.
- Recharge gasoline after 6:00 p.m. and before 10:00 a.m.; do not refuel after the filler gun safety is released.
- Check and repair leaks in domestic gas installations.
- Reduce the use of fuel at home by shortening shower time to a maximum of five minutes and when cooking, use containers with lids.
