Next November 23, after five years of absence, the best freestyle in the world returns to the Palau Sant Jordi with the UNIVERSAE Soloflow Freestyle in Barcelona. Last days to get tickets at rpmticket.com!
And, why not miss this authentic show? Meet its protagonists and discover the reasons why you should come and enjoy this show:
Edgar Torronteras: the myth jumps at home
In November 1990, a 10-year-old boy named Edgar Torronteras left the Palau Sant Jordi audience first speechless and then amazed during the first Barcelona Supercross. He clearly won the races in the 90 cc category reserved for infants, but ended up definitively putting the public in his pocket by releasing both hands from the handlebars in each jump on the way to his victories. Over the years he would win four medals in the X-Games, the title of best driver in the world but, above all, a way of understanding the sport and the spectacle that have made him the most charismatic FMX rider. In Spain and in the world. On the 23rd, as director and rider of the UNIVERSAE Soloflow Freestyle in Barcelona, the great ET completes and closes the circle. “Barcelona deserves the best freestyle show in the world and I want none of the attendees to ever forget what will happen on the 23rd at the Palau Sant Jordi.”
David Rinaldo, pure gold
Two gold medals at the X-Games USA – the most important FMX competition in the world – see the best French rider of all time. His body-varial backflip in Minneapolis 2019 and his Carolla in California 2023 are already part of the history of freestyle motocross. Although the best thing about R’Dav is… that he is absolutely unpredictable. What do you plan to surprise with and put the Palau Sant Jordi back on its feet? We will have to wait until the 23rd.”There is nothing better than doing what you like most and surrounded by a group of very good friends. If, furthermore, that happens in a city like Barcelona and with the incredible freestyler atmosphere of the Palau Sant Jordi, you can’t ask for more. And, in the face of all this, we must respond accordingly.…”.
Maikel Melero: tick, tock, tick, tock…
The precision of the best Swiss watch is in every jump of the five-time FMX world champion. No one has as many titles or has won more World Championship events than this rider who embodies technical perfection and who sculpts each trick based on hours and hours of practice and training. He has appeared on all the big stages and competitions in the world… but he is missing one: the Palau Sant Jordi. “Throughout my career I have been waiting for the opportunity to jump at the Palau. Being very little, I already went to Barcelona to see the Supercross and, years later, also the freestyle shows. On the 23rd I will finally fulfill my wish of so many years and I will celebrate it as it should be done: throwing my best tricks in the place with the most FMX history in the world. Don’t let anyone miss it!”.
Two historic rivals of Maikel Melero in the FMX World Championship, the Frenchman Brice Izzo – runner-up in the world – and the Italian Leo Fini, will be in the Sant Jordi.
The list of Spanish riders also promises strong emotions. The very young “Mincha” wants to continue breaking precocity records, surprising everyone and burning phases at lightning speed, with the most knowledgeable already nominating him as a clear contender to become one of the greatest in the history of this sport.
The experience of pilots like Rocky Florensa – Palau still remembers his incredible tandem jumps with Antonio Navas five years ago -, of exquisite riders in the technical execution of jumps such as Víctor Córdoba and Francis Costela or the always explosive and super spectacular Jabato is combines perfectly with the impudence of young people riders coming from motocross like Pablo Naert or from mountain-bike/BMX, like the top Adolf Silva.
12 top-level drivers, “X-Games level” tricks and the best scenario… Let the show begin! Get your ticket at rpmticket.com.
