The Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, Muhammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, said during his speech today, at the opening of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of official relations between the UAE and Egypt, which is organized by the UAE government, in cooperation with the Egyptian government, and will be held in Cairo during the period from 26 To this October 28, “the well-established brotherly relationship between the leaders and sons of the two countries made Egypt and the UAE like one country and developed comprehensive and exceptional cooperation in all fields,” and that “the beginning of the establishment of relations with Egypt represents for the UAE a decisive and historic beginning worthy of celebration.”
He added: “Egypt Arabism will remain the compass, destination, umbrella, and the beating heart of all Arabs, and of the people of the Emirates in particular…Egypt is the bond, authenticity and history…and the present accommodates our joint work to achieve development.”
He continued, “The hearts are attached to Egypt’s civilization and the present… which builds, builds, prolongs and illuminates, and we are all Egyptians of passion, formation and belonging… Egypt is rich in its sons, its diversity, and its creators.”
Al Gergawi added: “Egypt has been with us from the beginning and since its establishment… The experience of the unitary Emirates has surrounded and provided it with energies, capabilities and qualified human cadres.”
Al Gergawi said: “The founding father, Zayed, recommended good things to Egypt. It is Zayed’s will, and we, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, are following his path, adhering to his will.”
He stressed that “the relationship between the leaders of the two countries at various stages is a model for the relations between the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries… and it always bears fruit for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the Arab world… and the good and stability of the region and the world.”
He also added: “The cooperation of the two countries is in the interest of consolidating the common values and principles that bind them..and supports the establishment of international relations based on the rule of justice and peace..the positions of history are replete with many evidence and facts that confirm this.”
Al Gergawi said: “Sheikh Zayed’s smile and the Egyptians’ joy and love for Zayed… sum up the true love between the two peoples… and the true spirit of the Emirates and Egypt appears when Sheikh Zayed sent his son and Crown Prince Sheikh Khalifa to Egypt.”
He stressed: “The leaders of the two countries look to the future and build foundations that advance the Arab nation, two leaders who believe that the stability and security of the region can only be achieved through cooperation.”
And the Minister of Cabinet Affairs continued: “Every Egyptian achievement is an achievement that the Emirati citizen is proud of… and every Emirati achievement is an achievement that the Egyptian citizen is proud of… And the challenges only increase the brotherhood relationship with strength, strength and solidity,” stressing that “standing by the Egyptian brothers was not It was only a duty, but rather a firm stance stemming from conviction, will and firm values, expressed in Sheikh Zayed’s immortal saying, “Arab oil is not more precious than Arab blood.”
In his speech, Al Gergawi stressed that “the Emirati position on Egypt has not changed throughout history… After nearly 50 years, we find His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State confirming the same meaning… The UAE is always with Egypt in the same position, as His Highness says: ” Egypt is a major Arab country and a main pillar of Arab security, and we consider Egypt’s security one of the UAE’s security, and its progress, development and stability represents the interest of the Emirates and all Arabs.
He added: “Egypt, as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said, expressing all Emiratis, is “a second homeland for us… just as the UAE is a second homeland for the Egyptians… we have what they have and we have what they owe.” Therefore, “our standing with Egypt… is love for its people… and a duty in its right.”
Al Gergawi stressed that “what translates that love is the thousands who bear the name Zayed in Egypt. The cities, roads, institutions and many achievements that bear the name of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in Egypt in various parts of Egypt were beautified by it, and the streets that were embellished with the names of Egyptian cities and their symbols in the Emirates.” “.
He said, “Today, we honor personalities who contributed and whose efforts reflected features of the peculiarity of relations between the two countries… for decades.. They are a model for millions of people of the two peoples who work daily in circles of love and joint work.”
He concluded by noting that he sought, in his speech, to answer those who wonder, “Why Egypt…why celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of official relations between Egypt and the UAE,” adding: “We are all confident and certain that the future in the path of our brothers, our work, and our joint cooperation is better and more beautiful.”
