With Mateu Lahoz, a Spanish referee has entered the selection of World Cup referees. In addition, Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, Hernández Hernández and Martínez Munuera will work as VARs.
In Qatar, three women will be active as referees for the first time. Stephanie Frappart (France), Yoshimi Yamashita (Japan) and Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda) have been selected by FIFA for the World Cup.
