Oaxaca.- A month before the 2022 elections are held in the state of Oaxaca, the candidates have started their campaigns to present their projects and thereby gain the sympathy of the citizens. In this period, the governorship will be debated between five men and two women, one of those chosen to contend being Alejandro Avilés, who is the standard bearer of the PRI, PRD alliance.
Who is Alejandro Aviles?
Due to what the 2022 elections that will be held in five states of the Republic represent, the PRI chose to elect Alejandro Avilés Álvarez as its standard-bearer with a coalition with the PRD. This is because this 56-year-old man has a long history of more than 30 years of experience.
Avilés Álvarez was born on January 9, 1966 in Cosolapa and studied economics, having graduated from the Faculty of Accounting and Administration of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca.
Even without reaching the age of majority, Avilés joined the ranks of the PRI participating as José Guzmán Santos’ technical secretary of operations.

The now candidate has an extensive political career as he has served as a local deputy in the periods of 2004-2006, 2013-2016, 2018-2021 as well as in the current period.
