WhatsApp introduces a new feature under development: profile photos generated by artificial intelligence.
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta program, bringing the version to 2.24.11.17. The most interesting news in this update concerns one feature under development which will allow users to generate personalized profile photos thanks to Artificial Intelligence.
Generate your profile photo with AI
This new feature, called AI Profile Photos, will allow users to create unique and personalized images for their WhatsApp profile. Using Artificial Intelligence, users will be able to describe the type of image they want, and the AI will generate a profile photo based on that description. This process will result in images that more accurately reflect the user’s personality, interests or mood than a standard photo.
In addition to offering an innovative and creative way to personalize your profile, this feature could also improve user privacy. By using AI-generated images, users will be able to avoid sharing real photos, reducing the risk of misuse or unauthorized sharing of their images. While the feature to prevent profile photo screenshots already adds a layer of privacy, the use of AI-generated images provides additional protection.
When will it be usable?
Currently, this feature is still in development and not ready for beta testers, but will be available in a future app update. While you can’t use it yet, the announcement of this feature represents a significant step towards greater customization and security on WhatsApp.
This is just one of the many WhatsApp Beta updates, which allows users to test many features that, sooner or later, will also arrive in the stable version. We already told you a few days ago about the new arrival related to the messages pinned at the top, which thanks to an upcoming update will show the preview of any related document, image or video.
