WhatsApp Beta for Android introduces preview on pinned messages

WhatsApp is releasing a new update through the Google Play Beta program, bringing the version to 2.24.11.12. Among the new features introduced, WhatsApp has included a preview function for pinned messages.

The pinned message thumbnail, displayed directly at the top of the screen, allows users to see the content without having to navigate to the pinned message. This can significantly improve navigation and efficiency within conversations. Before this feature, users had to manually select the pinned message to see its contents. Now, the thumbnail offers an at-a-glance view of the content right from the home screen, making accessing pinned messages much easier and faster.

It will not be available to everyone

The pinned message preview feature is available to some beta testers who install the latest updates WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and will be rolled out to more and more users in the coming days. In this way, users who can try the new function will be able to provide feedback, allowing the company to further optimize the experience.
