Next Friday, May 17, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith will publish a document that will help bishops around the world to avoid scams since it establishes clear rules with which they can certify these phenomena.
The objective of PAMI is to analyze and interpret the various cases of Marian apparitions: apparitions, lacrimations, interior locutions, stigmata and other mystical phenomena in progress or already occurred, but they are still waiting for a statement on authenticity from the ecclesiastical authority.
Those in charge of presenting the new guidelines to the bishops regarding this issue will be the prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Víctor Fernández, and the secretary for the Doctrinal Section of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Armando Matteo.
