Is a territorial subdivision where representatives of a legislative body are elected. In each circumscription only those who reside in said territory can vote and based on the members of the electoral lists that appear in them.
Focusing on Castilla y León, the constituencies correspond to the provinces. Therefore, we have a total of nine: León, Palencia, Burgos, Soria, Zamora, Valladolid, Segovia, Salamanca and Ávila. In each one of them there is a different electoral list and the parties have the option to appear in those that they decide.
How many seats are there for each province and based on what they are decided
The number of seats allocated to each province or territorial constituency is related to the number of inhabitants of each one. They all have a minimum of three representatives and to these another one is added for every 45,000 inhabitants or fraction greater than 22,500.
