For his part, the director of the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Muhammad Abu Salamiya, told Sky News Arabia:The ambulance convoy that was bombed by Israeli aircraft was moving to the south of the Gaza Strip in coordination with the Red Cross.
Abu Salmiya added, “We were informed from the Egyptian side of the possibility of transporting a number of injured people for treatment in hospitals there, and ambulances were moving to transport them before they were targeted in the bombing.”
He continued: “There are dozens of martyrs, including a paramedic and an ambulance driver, and a member of the government media office was martyred, as well as a number of civilians,” considering that “what happened is a violation of state laws and a comprehensive crime, and if the world remains silent, Israel will carry out crimes.” Other”.
He explained that Al-Shifa Hospital no longer had an additional place to receive the victims, as many of the injured were treated on the streets and on the ground between the departments, “and there is not a single centimeter in the complex where there are no displaced people.”
Abu Salmiya pointed out that some of the wounded lost their lives during the past days, because we were unable to provide service to them after running out of medical consumables and a number of medications, especially anesthesia medications.
For its part, the Israeli army said that it was verifying a report by the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, which stated that dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured in an Israeli strike on an ambulance convoy.
