We’ve seen Samsung’s spectacular Micro LED display in person

At the launch event for Italy of the new Samsung TVs for 2024, a guest as unexpected as it was spectacular made her appearance.
Alongside the 8K, 4K and OLED Mini LED range, Samsung displayed a 38-inch Micro LED panel that gave us a first look at what the future of home entertainment could be.

The future of home entertainment

During the press conference organized by Samsung, representatives of the Korean giant spoke about its constant commitment to research and development of new technologies, in particular referring to Micro LED TVs which are based on the latest iteration of glass substrate technology and TFT matrix.
Together with the new range of Samsung 2024 TVs, the company therefore exhibited a prototype panel 38 inch Micro LED distributed exclusively to the various international branches, with resolution still stuck at Full HDbut with a level of brightness and color fidelity that will literally leave you speechless.

Each module has tens of thousands of LEDs measuring just a few microns, applied to the TFR matrix using a very high precision laser procedure, a feature that allows diodes to be positioned even at the ends, without therefore affecting the continuity of the image.
The module in question, not available for sale, boasts a cost that is similar to 50 thousand Euros.

The present of Micro LEDs

After the advent of “The Wall”, Samsung continues to develop Micro LED technology with a range of TVs that has recently expanded with two new 76” and 114” models. If you want to think about it, know that the cost for each inch of diagonal is approximately 1000 Euros, the calculations are up to you.
Nonetheless, the advantages of this technology are immediately perceivable: not only brightness peaks never achieved before but also more precise control, literally reduced to every single pixel.
While waiting to be able to get our hands on the first Micro LED TVs at “humane” prices, which will still take some time (not to mention the transparent Micro LEDs!), we have feasted our eyes.
