François Perrodo will return to racing in the LMP2 Class for the 2022 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The French driver, currently engaged in LMGTE Am with the AF Corse Ferrari # 83, asked Amato Ferrari’s team to follow him in the project that will see him again at the wheel of an Oreca.
Perrodo had already been a racer with the 07-Gibson of TDS Racing in 2017 and 2018/2019, so he has experience in what is a return to the prototypes. The same thing also applies to AF, which has been working in support of Cetilar Racing in recent years when it lined up Dallara.
As mentioned, for this leap in category the transalpine manager / driver will still be supported by the Italian team, which as known will then have to concentrate with Ferrari for the Hypercar project, but completely unrelated to the commitment in LMP2.
“This is a different program and has no connection with LMH – Ferrari told Motorsport.com – François is a fantastic friend and driver, we are very happy to join his project.”
Satisfied not only with the team, Perrodo asked the Prancing Horse to also have with him the officer Nicklas Nielsen, while the crew will also be completed by Alessio Rovera, proposing the entire formation that with the 488 # 83 is in contention for the 2021 title in LMGTE Am.
