Mazatlan.- A boxing celebrity once said that it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, but how strong you are to get up. And that is the assignment that the Mazatlan boxer Rubén “Bebé” Vega will have, who will seek to recover from his previous defeat, when he steps into the ring on April 1 in the function, Champion Passage, of the Zápari Boxing promoter, when he is measured against Bralton Munoz.
How do you feel about fighting again in Mazatlan before your people?
I feel, the truth, very happy, since we had two years without fighting here in our port. We always had to fight away, and although I think the rivals put us to great tests, it’s not like fighting at home. I’m looking forward to coming back here to Mazatlan and showing myself to the fans.”
How have you prepared these two years in the fights you had outside of Mazatlan?
We are always preparing ourselves with everything, we always have the same training, the same preparation and motivation to reach the goals. We work with different sparring partners, imposing ones, a little more difficult, because we are leveling up and we want to face the best fighters.”
How do you get up from that first loss you suffered last November?
No, well I have to say that nothing happens, you have to understand that you learn from defeats for the future. Of course it did weigh us down a bit, but we’re fine now, we’re preparing with everything to return to the ring much stronger, with more desire, and with much more drive to win and give people a good taste in the mouth in our fight on April 1.”

Do you know anything about your next rival, and how are you going to face the duel?
The truth is I don’t know much about the rival, but we know that he is a fighter who wants to beat us, to give a good show and a great fight for the fans; and nothing, we prepare ourselves for any obstacle and any challenge, as well as for any style of boxing that is put in front of us”.
What would you say to the Mazatleca boxing fans with this triumphant return of Zapari Boxing?

Tell them that we will be back again, once again we will be giving them a great show as we are used to, and invite them to attend the Germán Evers on April 1 from 8:00 p.m.; They are going to see very good fights and what a great poster the show is.”
