Vox in Lorca showed its “support, solidarity and affection” towards the woman who was approached on Thursday in the elevator of her house in the San José neighborhood by thieves, who stole her retirement pension, a total of 800 euros, that he just took out of the bank.
The National Police confirmed to LA VERDAD that it is investigating the events and clarified that it was not a robbery, since there was no violence on the part of the assailants, but rather the theft of the victim's money.
The spokesperson for the Vox municipal group, Carmen Menduiña, stated that the thieves were two women and a man “of Maghreb origin” and demanded that the Government of Spain “act harshly and forcefully against imported crime.”
The councilor added: “We cannot allow these crimes of robbery, intimidation or assault to go unpunished.” She recalled that her party proposed in Congress the “expulsion of immigrants who arrive irregularly and suppress public aid, with the exception of urgent humanitarian aid.”
Vox, he added, also demands the “immediate expulsion of legal immigrants who commit crimes or make crime their way of life and who serve their sentences in their countries of origin.” Menduiña requested reinforcements and more resources for the National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police in Lorca.
