Rafael Santos Borré scored a goal again and that is good news for Néstor Lorenzo and the Colombian National Team. However, that goal was not enough to avoid Internacional’s defeat at home against Belgrano de Córdoba, which qualified for the next phase of the Copa Sudamericana.
Internacional had not played for exactly a month, due to the floods that affected Porto Alegre and left more than 100 dead. In fact, he had to receive the Argentine team at the Arena Baruerí, near Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian team still has the possibility of reaching the playoffs, as it has two games postponed: on June 4 it will visit Real Tomayapo and four days later it will host Delfín.
Borré scored the goal that put Internacional ahead in the 39th minute, after a drive by Wesley that ended with a free pass with which the Colombian scored his second goal of the tournament. He had already marked Delfín on April 25.
With 12 points and the calendar completed, Belgrano is already in the round of 16 of the Libertadores. Internacional still has to row to seek the play-offs.
