Ciudad Juarez.– At the event held this afternoon at the 20 de Noviembre stadium, which brought together evangelical groups, prayers were said for businesses, for the economy of workers, for culture and art, science, the family and for rulers.
“Crying out for Juárez” brought together families seeking peace and prosperity on a border plagued by violence.
In this space for reflection, believers prayed for the people who create the school books that will guide children.
They also prayed for the parents and children.
“Lord, have mercy on every father and mother in Ciudad Juarez, may they enter into marriages of love to be protected from any violence, may they fulfill their duties so that our children are protected, remove negligence from our minds,”
Lawmakers who make laws were also the objects of prayers and blessings, as were public servants.
“We pray for our authorities and for those who are legislators so that the laws they draft are in accordance with your commandment,” they cried.
Municipal President Cruz Pérez Cuéllar and his wife Rubí Enríquez arrived at the scene and prayed for them as well.
The councillor highlighted this ceremony prior to the government report and the swearing-in to lead the city’s destiny for the second time.
