The general secretary of the PSOE of the Region of Murcia, José Vélez, assured this Saturday in the Regional Committee of the formation that his “is the party that structures, unites and advances Spain.” “I want to thank all my colleagues for their commitment, as well as the strength and unity that we are demonstrating,” he remarked.
«I feel very proud of our party, especially of the 5,205 members of the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia. A militancy and a Party that throughout its 144 years of existence has worked tirelessly to defend democracy, as well as our principles and values of justice, freedom, and equality,” Vélez added.
The socialist leader maintained that the PSOE has suffered an “intense campaign of insults, threats and accusations, absolutely inadmissible in democracy, by a few who intend to return to the darkest times in history and impose their hatred on society.” However, “they are not going to intimidate us. We take this country out of the darkness of dictatorship. Now we will continue governing to advance rights; in freedoms; to guarantee the unity of real Spain, a country that is plural and diverse. “We will continue to govern to strengthen democracy and public institutions.”
On the other hand, Vélez addressed the right and far-right formations: «Less dramas and less whining in the corners. What they have to do is accept the result of the July 23 elections and comply with the Constitution,” to which he added that López Miras “should be more concerned about the problems of our Region and less about Feijóo’s interests.”
Vélez highlighted that “never has a Spanish Government done so much for the Region of Murcia, with more investments than ever and more resources than ever for the development of the autonomous community, always thinking about the workers, families and people who need it the most.” “they need.”
Regarding the regional Budgets, the socialist leader assured that these are “false accounts, that lack credibility and that do not address the problems of the Region”, and stated that “if the Budget grows in the Region of Murcia it is because they increase “considerably the contributions made by the Government of Spain.”
«In the face of a party that denies sexist violence, we will continue defending the rights of women, workers, LGTBI people and the most vulnerable groups. We will be facing a regional government that is deteriorating education and that does not believe in public health. Today, more than ever, Spain needs the PSOE,” Vélez concluded.
