Valorant announced changes to its tournaments which will culminate in the acclaimed Champions Tour 2023and if you are one of those who aspire to climb in the competitive, you have to know them.
Following the example of other games like League of Legendsthis title now will have 3 international leagues where the best from each region will face off with a mix of online and face-to-face events when conditions allow.
These new leagues will give each champion a pass to two important competitions: the Masters and the Valorant Championswhere the world’s greatest winner will be crowned.
In addition to international tournaments, Valorant will implement local circuits with which they intend to find new promises to rise to the top, so the most skilled will have the opportunity to climb in popularity.
These efforts, combined with a reinforcement in the Game Changers initiativewill seek to open up new players who wish to enter the competitive scene.
To support them as they get off the ground, all entry fees to selected organizations will be waived, in order to establish partners for long-term success.
Valorant will add another game mode in its new season
If you think that leaderboards are not a good enough indicator to identify the most skilled shooters, don’t worry, another method is coming soon.
Valorant will add a competitive game mode whose only objective will be to track talents, and will offer players a new objective beyond the ranked mode that integrates with the esports ecosystem.
At the moment no further details about this section were shown, but you better start training to show everyone that those kills are not done by magic.
The plans for 2023 sound quite ambitious and interesting, but we hope that they will give a boost to the leagues, both local and international.
