The mind immediately goes to the extraordinary victory of Troy Bayliss, triumphant as a wild card on the saddle of Ducati, and to the world champion success of Nicky Hayden, who was crowned World Champion precisely at Ricardo Tormo. But the importance of that GP goes beyond the two splendid statements mentioned above, so much so that perhaps we can even speak of a before and an after Valencia. An exaggeration?
