While the incidence is increasing in Germany, concerns about “warning level four” countries are increasing abroad. The USA now advise against traveling to Germany. This also applies to those who are fully vaccinated.
Washington – The US State Department warns against traveling to Germany due to the massive spread of the corona virus. This is the consequence of a reassessment of the pandemic situation there by the US health authority CDC, the ministry said on Monday.
The agency calls on US citizens to avoid traveling to Germany. There “even fully vaccinated travelers could be at risk” of “getting and passing on” virus variants, it was said to justify. Denmark was also raised to level four, the highest level of travel advice (“Don’t travel”).
Many countries in Europe with warning level four
Warning level four also applies to other countries in Europe currently severely affected by the pandemic, including Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Austria and the Netherlands. For France and Italy, on the other hand, only level three applies, which prompts travelers to re-examine travel plans. Before the pandemic, the highest level of travel warnings was mostly reserved for crisis and conflict countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq. dpa
