Americans politicians have commented on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the country’s extensive right to abortion, both for and against. The dividing line is largely clear: Democrats are against the decision, Republicans are on its side.

Democrat senator Joe Manchin has previously opposed the right to abortion, but the Supreme Court ‘s policy was disappointing to him.
“The right to abortion has been the practice in the country for almost 50 years and has been considered a permanent precedent. I’m worried that the judges Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh decided to abandon two generations of stability in the United States, ”Manchin said in a statement.

“There is no mention of abortion in the Constitution, so there is no implicit right to it in the provisions of the Constitution. My office and I are doing everything we can to keep the laws protecting unborn people in place, even if we go back to court, ”Landry commented in a statement.
Also the Republican governor of the state of Texas Greg Abbott announced that the law will be introduced immediately.
“Texas is a state that defends the rights of the unborn, and we have taken significant steps to defend the integrity of life. Texas has also prioritized women’s health care and the needs of expectant mothers so they can get care and resources to choose the lives of their children, ”Abbott said in a statement.
