Union Magdalena soccer player unleashed the fight with fans, says the Police

The images of some fans of the Magdalena Union entering the grass of the Sierra Nevada stadium, in Santa Marta, are going around the world.

The embarrassing scene shows how fans entered the field and violently clashed with some players from the banana cyclone.

At first, as could be seen in certain recordings of other fans, those who invaded the field of play stripped police officers and snatched their bobbins.

Now, as reported by Colonel Jesús Manuel de los Reyes, commander of the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police, the Union players would have started the brawl.

The balance of the authorities

“During the development of the sporting match between Unión Magdalena and Atlético Bucaramanga, some fans entered, after a player from the local team incited the fans of his club“, expressed the commander of the Kings in his balance of what happened.

“Immediately we proceed to evacuate people, to generate mediation. It was not necessary to use force or chemical agents (…) through the videos, some generators of the excesses and the possible aggressor of a player”closed the officer in his report.

The game was suspended due to the brawl.. No action has yet been announced in this regard.
