Bradesco launched a solution where its customers can calculate their carbon footprint on the day. With a focus on sustainability, a video, which has since been taken off the air, offered tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint with changes in your routine.

The video generated controversy on social media with the bank’s agribusiness customers, as one of the measures to reduce the carbon footprint was to reduce meat consumption. The characters in the video explain the practice of eating a dish without meat at least one day a week, on Mondays, in the movement that became known as Monday without Meat.
After the manifestation of some clients, in a note, Bradesco reaffirmed its support for Brazilian agribusiness and its “indelible belief” in the sector as a vector for the country’s growth. In the statement, Bradesco says that the position expressed by “digital influencers” in relation to the consumption of beef is “unreasonable”, but recognizes that, “regretfully”, it ended up associated with the company.
