The strong heat in São Paulo this Sunday morning (27) was not an obstacle for Corinthians and Red Bull Bragantino to play a busy game at the Neo Química Arena. Better for Timão, who won 1-0, for the ninth round of the Campeonato Paulista, under the eyes of coach Vitor Pereira, recently hired, who watched the match from the stadium box.

The victory took Corinthians to 17 points, in the lead of Group A, with seven ahead of Guarani (second) and ten for Água Santa and Inter de Limeira (third and fourth, respectively). If the last two of the group lose in the round, Alvinegro guarantees a spot, three games in advance, to the quarterfinals (the two best qualify).
Bragantino, despite the setback, remains at the top of Group D, with 16 points. They are six ahead of the vice-leader Santo André and seven of Santos (third), who are still playing for the round.
At five minutes, side Luan Cândido took a risk from the middle, the ball deflected on forward Ytalo and almost left the reach of goalkeeper Cássio, who stretched and managed to save Corinthians, which was once again directed by interim Fernando Lázaro. The answer came in the 13th minute, in a kick by midfielder Renato Augusto, from the edge of the area, which goalkeeper Cleiton stretched out to defend. At 38, midfielder Hyoran tried to surprise Cássio with a free-kick from the angle, but he managed to save. Five minutes later the archer appeared again, sending out a first-rate shot from Luan Cândido.
Timão came back better from the break and almost opened the scoring at two minutes, in a header by defender Gil, which Cleiton defended in two halves. At 32′, Róger Guedes scored with fellow striker Willian inside the area and hit the corner, forcing the Braga goalkeeper to reach out to save. At 34 he had no choice. Willian shot from the edge of the area, Cleiton gave a rebound and forward Gustavo Mosquito sent it to the net. In the end, the visitors put pressure behind the tie, but Luan Cândido, in the 44th minute, stopped on the post.

Ituano defeated Ferroviária 3-1 at the Novelli Júnior stadium, in Itu (SP), with goals from forwards Neto Berola and Iago Telles and midfielder Igor Henrique, who took Galo de Itu to third in Group C, with 14 points.
