Ukraine launched an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that illegally crossed the border of Belarus to conduct reconnaissance near the Brestsky military training ground. According to the ministry, the incident occurred on January 24. Specialists of the Armed Forces of Belarus found a drone in the airspace of the country and forcibly landed it near Brest. In connection with this situation, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to the republic, Igor Kizim. “The Ukrainian side has been informed that with these unfriendly steps, it deliberately provokes an escalation of the situation in the region, which does not contribute to a civilized bilateral dialogue,” the ministry explained.
