The showdown between Vladimir Putin and the top of the security services could soon arrive, while the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, because “the situation is so serious that there are no limits” to the possible evolutions and soon “something extraordinary will happen” . This was revealed in a new letter sent by an FSB ‘mole’ to Vladimir Osechkin, a human rights activist in exile: in the document – deemed reliable and relaunched on Twitter – it is confirmed as after the searches and sensational arrests of two senior representatives of the FSB, pressure has increased within the Federal Security Service, heir to the Soviet KGB. Not only that, the level of confrontation between the various security structures is increasingly high with a Putin now aware of having been misled by the wrong information provided by intelligence.
The letter from the informant refers to a hunt for ‘moles’ by the counter-intelligence DKVR, also in the Armed Forces General Staff, which would provide information on the movements of Moscow troops in Ukrainian territory. But above all, the document clarifies the erroneous information that prompted the Kremlin to attack Kiev. The reports provided by the intelligence in fact would have explained to Putin that at least 2,000 armed civilians were ready to intervene in each of the main Ukrainian cities to take down Zelensky while another 5,000 would have taken to the streets to demonstrate in favor of Moscow.
“At the FSB we expected to become the referees who would crown the Ukrainian politicians who would fight” to become the rulers chosen by Moscow, the letter reads: “We had even defined the criteria to elect the best” and instead “we are at the 0% “realization of that plan, admits the mole.
