WAR: the eccentric “uniform” of President Zelensky
Like all wars, the Ukrainian one is also characterized by specific and, in many respects, peculiar (not to say eccentric) curiosities.
Surely one of them is the “split”Chosen by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to officiate at institutional and international appointments or in any case to expose oneself in favor of the camera.
A skimpy clothing, perhaps even too much for the winter season and for a war situation where even the genres / products basic necessities such as heating and automotive fuels are scarce.
A clothing: Olive green t-shirt, from a guerrilla that makes you think.
Of course, olive green is the color of the armies, of the militias, including civilians, who in these days revive Ukrainian pride more than a thousand columns of (Russian) armored vehicles lined up at the gates of Kiev.
And definitely the Presidentwho did not choose that uniform at random given his artistic training, represents its banner at the international level: a fighter among fighters!
But what need was there and are there short sleeves? Of a summer uniform more suited to South American fighters and instead little in tune with the cold suffering and enduring the fleeing Ukrainians, queued up at the border waiting for convoys to Poland or other friendly destinations.
Images that clash with a disastrous and disastrous reality, and that inevitably lead to some questions if not real doubts: why such a exhibition? What sense of strength or security can such a uniform induce for a bewildered, frightened, bunkered population? And what display of bravado can it play, instead, for the enemies with whom, intelligently, negotiations have been resumed in these hours?
And then a perplexity that is also legitimate but which in such a serious situation risks seeming a wickedness without wanting to be: The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is he really still in Ukraine? Or – and that would cause any wonder or detract from its meritorious resistance – is it protected by NATO in a safe place from where it can continue to issue orders to the military and manage the needs of the population?
Lawful questions like the Olive green tshirt exhibited in a Kiev where the temperature, even today, will touch 2 degrees in the hottest hour.
