Ukrainian sources reported that another prisoner exchange took place more than five weeks after the start of the Russian war on Ukraine.
And Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk wrote on Facebook today, Friday, that the Russian side released 71 Ukrainian soldiers and 15 Ukrainian women soldiers from captivity, and in return received the same number of its soldiers. It was not possible to verify this information in the future at first.
Vereshchuk went on to say: “I am addressing all of our compatriots who are still in captivity… We will fight for each of you!” We will bring everyone home. Keep up your perseverance and determination!”
Several prisoner exchanges have already taken place between Russians and Ukrainians in the past few weeks. In mid-March, the Russian side released the kidnapped mayor of Melitopol, according to Ukrainian sources, in exchange for the release of nine Russian conscripts.
