Through a video, available on the cover of this news, Ubisoft has recently announced the beta version of Quartz, a new system that integrates NFT into games, with the arrival soon on Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The items were grateful by Ubisoft Strategic Innovation lab and will be completely unique, with details visible to all users.
After the other news arrived on the famous title last year, Ubisoft is preparing to introduce Digits, the first NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) within a triple A title, running on low energy consumption technology. Distribution will begin for those who have purchased the Limited Edition, who will receive personalized gear items.
Each of the Digits in fact, it will have a recognition number that is also visible to other users, so as to make them unique and easily recognizable, also allowing the owner to be able to sell and buy them at any time. In addition, each NFT will have a history of all owners, so as to become an integral part of the game in which it is traded.
Each Digits also is provided with a certificate of ownership stored on the blockchain, a decentralized and community-driven technology independent from Ubisoft, giving players more control than ever. In this way, each object will not be linked to the game inventory and can be sold to other buyers, in complete freedom.

Nicolas Pouard, VP at Ubisoft’s Strategic Innovation Lab said:
Our long-term efforts have led us to understand how the decentralized approach of the blockchain could really make players the protagonists of our games, in a way that is also sustainable for our industry, putting back into their hands the value they generate through the time they spend, the items they buy or the content they create online, Ubisoft Quartz is the first step in our ambitious vision to develop a true metaverse. And it can’t come to life without overcoming blockchain’s early limitations for gaming, including scalability and power consumption.
Ubisoft Quartz, the system that will introduce NFTs to games, will be available in beta starting December 9th from 7pm, Italian time in America, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Australia and Brazil. Further information will be disseminated over the next few days.
