The UAE decided to prevent its citizens from traveling to Lebanon, while work will continue in the consular section and the visa center in the country’s mission to Beirut, during the current period.
On Friday, the Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, asked the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, to “appreciate the national interest and take the appropriate decision to reform Lebanon’s Arab relations.”
And on Saturday, Kuwait recalled its ambassador from Lebanon for consultations, and asked the Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs to leave the country within 48 hours.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain requested the departure of the Lebanese ambassador to them within 48 hours. Saudi Arabia also recalled its ambassador to Lebanon, and announced the suspension of all Lebanese imports.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed that “Hezbollah’s control over the decision of the Lebanese state has made Lebanon an arena and a starting point for implementing projects of countries that do not intend the good for this country.”
