In a statement, during the General Assembly’s general debate on social development, the UAE explained that, as a home to more than 200 nationalities of diverse religions and ethnicities, it is fully committed to providing the highest means of social development, which enhances the quality of life for its residents, and issued many regulations And initiatives to serve all segments of society, especially the youth, senior citizens and people of determination.
The state’s statement was made by Fawzia Ahmed and Abdul Qadir Al-Saqqaf, who said: “The leadership of the UAE attaches great importance to the youth, as they enjoy its confidence in representing the state at various regional and international levels. To involve young people in the international decision-making process.
On the local level, the statement drew attention to the establishment of the Federal Youth Foundation in 2018, with the aim of empowering young people, referring to the model of youth councils in the UAE, which works to deliver youth consultations and recommendations in both private and public sector institutions, most notably the Emirates Youth Council, which works Directly with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, to contribute to the review and amendment of policies issued by the government, and to develop strategies for youth that correspond to future directions, and to identify the views of young people on issues related to them.

According to the statement, the UAE is keen to guarantee the social rights of “people of determination”, as the state has enacted all laws and legislation, which are integrated with the best means of care, integration and empowerment globally, and embodied the highest social norms and values inherited in the UAE, which was founded on giving, building and investing in The human.
The statement said: “The UAE government launched the National Policy to Empower People of Determination in 2017, which is based on six main axes: health and rehabilitation, education, vocational rehabilitation and employment, accessibility, social protection and family empowerment, public life, culture and sports.”
He added: “In 2018, the UAE developed a unified national classification of disability in the country, which serves as a national reference used by all parties according to their services provided to people of determination.” During the Covid-19 pandemic, a guideline was developed by the Emirates Program to ensure the continuity of services for people of determination remotely in their homes, which was registered within the intellectual property rights of the Ministry of Economy in the country, according to the statement.
At the conclusion of the statement, Fawzia Ahmed and Abdul Qadir Al-Saqqaf affirmed the full commitment of the UAE in its path of continuing to strengthen national efforts for social development, and pointed to the state’s readiness to build overall partnerships, by extending a hand of cooperation with the peoples of the whole world, embodying the principles of global effectiveness that The state runs.
