The smoke was caused by an explosion, according to reports from 112
Emergency Health Services have intervened in a house fire in Cieza, in which two people have had to be treated for poisoning by inhaling smoke.
Several calls, starting at 1:45 p.m., alerted the ‘1-1-2’ Emergency Coordination Center of a fire in a building on Molinico de la Huerta street in Cieza. According to informants, after an explosion, a lot of smoke came out of the third floor of a three-story building with five apartments per floor on that street. In the building there were many neighbors trying to leave it.
Units of the Civil Guard, Cieza Local Police, two ambulances from the 061 Emergency and Health Emergency Management Department, one of them medicalized, and members of the CEIS Firefighting and Rescue Consortium from the Cieza park, were dispatched to the scene.
The CEIS sergeant confirmed that the firefighters were already at the fire plant and that they had it under control, with no need for reinforcements from the Molina park, which were already on their way. The 061 units attended and transferred to the Hospital de la Vega Lorenzo Guirao two men aged 30 and 40 with smoke poisoning.
