National Police agents have arrested six men dedicated to the theft of high -end watches. Three of them were caught ‘in fraganti’ and were related to the theft of another luxury article undertaken last January. Before assaulting their victims, they thoroughly studied each of them, especially in the leisure and restoration premises, where they got to take pictures to better draw their plan.
As ABC has been able to know, the detainees are between 32 and 45 years and are originally from Morocco. The investigation began in January, when the authorities were aware of a robbery with force committed in the city of Madrid in which three men had tried to take a luxury watch in a surprising and violent way.
For all these reasons, a few weeks later, in February, and within the framework of the investigation of the agents, they observed how three men were inside a vehicle at reduced speed in the middle of Salamanca’s neighborhood of the capital, thoroughly signing those that their victims would be, and taking photographs to draw a criminal plan.
The surprise of the nationals was capitalized when they noticed that this was the same vehicle in the rose the criminals who undertook the theft that occurred in January. Thus, the agents began a persecution that went first to car and then on foot, and that ended with the arrest of the suspects a few minutes later, thus seeing their options of continuing to commit crimes.
They are accused as alleged responsible for crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, reckless driving, serious disobedience and judicial claim.
Three other detainees in two parallel investigations
In two parallel investigations, on March 5, the National Police agents arrested three other men between the ages of 18 and 34, originating in Morocco, France and Romania. One of them was arrested as alleged responsible for two crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation in which he seized a high -end clock, a chain and a gold cross.
The other two individuals were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of injury, fraud, theft and robbery with violence and intimidation, being able to be clarified up to five facts in which they would be involved. Also, at the time of detention the agents found 20 mobile phones wrapped in aluminum foil that could be returned to their owners. Finally, the judicial authority has decreed the entry into prison for three of the six detainees in the two investigations.
The criminal acts undertaken by criminal gangs of this type are the order of the day, such as those lived at the beginning of February, in which some assailants took a rolex and tried to appropriate the keys of a Porsche Panamera at gunpoint in the chamartín.
