Yesterday, the 14th and 15th relief planes arrived in Lahore and Islamabad in Pakistan, respectively, as part of the UAE relief air bridge, to support those affected by floods and torrential rains in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The UAE embassy in Islamabad wrote, in a tweet on its official account on Twitter, that “the schedule of flights of the UAE relief air bridge in support of those affected by floods and torrential rains in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan continues, and the 14th relief plane loaded with tons of supplies arrived in the city of Lahore in the Punjab province. Food, medical, and tents to house the affected people.
The embassy also confirmed in another tweet the arrival of the 15th plane to Islamabad.
In addition, the UAE Embassy in Islamabad, in cooperation with the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, distributed integrated food baskets in the city of Muzaffarabad in the Kashmir region, as part of the “Billion Meals” campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai «may God protect him».
In a tweet on its Twitter account, the embassy said: Within the framework of the “Billion Meals” campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to provide food support to the needy, the UAE Embassy in Islamabad and in cooperation with the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, Distributing integrated food baskets in the city of Muzaffarabad in the Kashmir region.
