Tragedy of Querétaro: 10 accused of barbarism are captured in the stadium

After the images of the riots on Saturday at the La Corregidora stadium in Querétaro, Mexico, went around the world, the Prosecutor’s Office of that state announced this Tuesday that it has already identified the 26 possible perpetrators of what happened. Also, in the last few hours, The investigative entity confirmed that it has already managed to capture 10 of the main ones identified as protagonists of the barbarism that clouded Mexican soccer.

According to the Querétaro Prosecutor’s Office, the 583 images, the 78 videos and the more than a thousand messages with information about what happened, shared by citizens, were transcendental for the operation.

“In continuity with the uninterrupted investigative actions that have been carried out by the investigation folder initiated and the complaints received for what happened on March 5 during the Querétaro vs. Atlas match it is reported that the first 10 males have been arrested. 21 search warrants issued by the Control Judge of the Judicial Power were complied with,” the Querétaro Prosecutor’s Office reported in a statement.

“To the detainees named Jesús “N”, José Alfredo “N”, Iván “N”, Jonathan Carlos “N”, Víctor “N”, Adrián “N”, Juan Manuel “N”, Eduardo “N” and Edgar Emmanuel “N” They were detained with arrest warrants for their possible participation in crimes of attempted murder, violence in sporting events and apology of the crime”reads the letter.

“In the searches, they made sure 82 sports garments with logos of the Querétaro team, 4 pairs of tennis shoes -some with possible blood stains-, 22 cell phones and different indications that will be addressed to the continuity of the investigations,” said the entity.

“For the identification of criminal behavior and the 26 possible interveners, information was received through our social networks, for which 583 images, 78 videos, more than a thousand messages with information and anonymous complaints to 089 were analyzed.; in addition, to extract information from the videos of the surveillance cameras of the Corregidora Stadium”.
